The Japanese military says it has completed the deployment of its ground-based Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) interceptors in Okinawa ahead of North Korea's planned rocket launch this month, Kyodo News reports.
As of Thursday, interceptors were deployed to four locations: Ishigaki island, Naha, Miyako and Nanjo, said defense officials.
PAC-3 interceptors will also be deployed to the Tokyo area, namely Ichigaya, Narashino and Asaka, said officials.
