Oslo Delays Purchase Of F-35s

The Norwegian government has decided to delay its orders for F-35 Lightning II fighters by two years, reports Flight International.
Defense Minister Grete Faremo said the government will buy four F-35s in 2016 for training purposes, but will delay the procurement of another 16 aircraft until 2018.
Norway originally planned to order as many as 48 F-35s from 2016 to 2020.
Defense ministry officials insisted that Norway remains a "serious and credible partner" in the program. ...
