Kyrgyzstan's interim government called on the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to deploy an international police force to help control ethnic violence in the Central Asian nation, the New York Times reports.
This is Bishkek's fourth request for international help since the start of rioting earlier this month. The interim government was twice refused by Russia, then by the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
