Options Weighed For Arctic Facilities

The Canadian Dept. of National Defense is studying possible options for new facilities in the Arctic, reports the CanWest News Service.
The government has set aside Can$61 million (US$57 million) for a new training center in Resolute Bay, Nunavut, but is also considering a long-term arrangement for a federal science research building located there.
The military already uses the facility, which has sleeping quarters, a kitchen, maintenance facilities and a hangar.
