The Burmese junta says it has moved ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi to solitary confinement, reports the Guardian (U.K.).
Following the military’s overthrow of the democratically elected government in February 2021, Aung San Suu Kyi was initially held at her home. She was subsequently moved to an unknown location.
The junta says it has now moved the opposition leader to a prison compound in the capital, Naypyidaw.
