Opposition members in the Thai Parliament have objected to the transfer of two army units under the direct authority of the king, reports Reuters.
On Thursday, the leader of the Future Forward Party said that the royal decree inappropriately bypassed the constitution using an emergency clause.
No such emergency exists to justify bypassing constitutional processes, said Piyabutr Saengkanokkul.
