Afghan and coalition security forces targeted several local Taliban commanders in operations carried out Friday in Wardak and Helmand provinces, NATO's International Security Assistance Force reports.
In the Chaki Wardak district of Wardak province, a joint force searched a series of compounds known to be used by a Taliban commander thought responsible for several attacks in the area, said ISAF officials.
