U.S. military officials say that commando raids over the last four months have taken out scores of insurgent leaders in Afghanistan, the New York Times reports.
About 130 important insurgent figures have been captured or killed in Afghanistan over the past 120 days, military commanders said.
Those targets have reportedly included Taliban shadow provincial governors, military commanders, financiers, trainers and bomb-makers.
