Operations Continue Against Militants

Afghan and coalition forces have been involved in numerous operations this week against insurgent forces across Afghanistan, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan reports.

In Helmand province on Wednesday, ground troops in Nad Ali district called in a NATO airstrike after an extensive firefight, said military officials. A single precision-guided bomb was dropped on a compound being used by insurgents.
