The Norwegian military has opened its new operations center at the Operational Command Headquarters in Bodo in northern Norway, reports the Barents Observer.
Norway is the first NATO country to move its operational headquarters to the Arctic.
The center, located about 0.6 miles (1 km) inside the mountain at Reitan outside of Bodo, features advanced technology to enable commanders to plan and lead operations simultaneously in different parts of the world.
