A new congressional report says that about half of U.S. defense spending comes from operations and maintenance (O&M) accounts, reports the Military Times.
Expenditures for operations and maintenance in 2015 accounted for about $251 billion, or 50 percent, of the U.S. defense budget when overseas contingency operations were accounted for, says the report by the Congressional Budget Office.
