Once Earmarked For U.S. President, Choppers Purchased For Parts

The Canadian Dept. of National Defense has purchased nine U.S. helicopters for spare parts, reports the Ottawa Citizen.

The U.S. aircraft were part of a since-cancelled program for new presidential helicopters

The nine US101 helicopters and additional spare parts, bought for Can$164 million (US$166 million), will be used with Canada's Cormorant search-and-rescue helicopters.
