Afghan officials have blamed the Taliban for the slow pace of peace talks, reports Agence France-Presse.
Negotiations resumed in Doha, Qatar, on Jan. 6., but have not advanced beyond determining the agenda for the second round of talks, Waheed Omar, a media adviser to President Ashraf Ghani, said on Wednesday.
The Afghan government wants to secure a cease-fire and certain guarantees over the makeup of the future government before proceeding.
