A Malaysian navy official says that problems with the nation’s first French-built submarine prevented it from submerging for three months, reports the Malay Mail.
The defect prevented the Tunku Abdul Rahman from conducting tropical water trials that were scheduled to be completed by the end of January.
The shipbuilder, DCNS, extended the warranty for the submarine until May so the Tunku Abdul Rahman could complete its trials, according to the head of the navy
