The U.S. Army Research Laboratory is developing an attachment for assault packs that could eventually provide power for soldier equipment, reports the Army News Service.
The prototype Energy Harvesting Backpack is currently being evaluated at the Soldier Performance and Equipment Advanced Research (SPEAR) facility at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
