Notwithstanding U.S. Airstrikes, ISIS Has Been Enlarging Its Holdings In Syria

After more than three months of U.S.-led airstrikes in Syria, the Islamic State, or ISIS, has not stopped expanding its control in that country, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Coalition strikes have taken their toll on ISIS operations in Iraq, but have not reportedly had a similar affect in Syria.

The militants have actually enlarged their holdings in Syria since the strikes began in September, according to the latest independent assessments.
