Northrop Grumman Wins Major Deal For Litening Targeting Pods

Northrop Grumman says it has received a large Air Force contract for the Litening advanced targeting pod program.
The US$1.3 billion deal covers system sustainment, production, software and upgrades, said a company release on Jan. 10.
The Litening pod features high-definition video, 1K FLIR and charged-couple device sensors, laser imaging sensors and multiple plug-and-play data link options.
The modular design enables any pod to be easily upgraded to the latest standard.
