Northrop Grumman Receives Green Light For Upgraded Naval EW Systems

Northrop Grumman has received approval to begin low-rate initial production of the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) Block 3 system for the Navy, reports the manufacturer.

Production of the upgraded AN/SLQ-32(V)7 system was authorized after successfully completing a government-led review, which assessed the program’s performance and readiness to enter the production and deployment phase, said a company release on Jan. 24.
