More than 6,000 personnel from all branches of the U.S. armed forces are participating in this year's Northern Edge exercise, reports the Fairbanks (Alaska) Daily News-Miner.
The biennial exercise focuses on potential crises in the Asia-Pacific region.
More than 150 aircraft are also taking part in the training, which includes live bombing drills and simulated air-to-air combat.
Participating aircraft include Air Force F-16 and F-15 fighters, B-52 bombers and KC-135...
