North Dakota Wing To Be Redesignated To Reflect Recon Mission

The U.S. Air Force expects to redesignate the 319th Air Base Wing at Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D., later this year, reports the Air Force Times.
Redesignating the unit as the 319th Reconnaissance Wing will align it with the 69th Reconnaissance Group at Grand Forks AFB, which operates RQ-4 Global Hawk remotely piloted aircraft, the service announced last week.
