No Word On Pilot After F-16 Crashes In Nev.

An F-16C fighter operating from Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., crashed on late Tuesday afternoon, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The fighter was taking part in an air-to-air combat exercise near Caliente when it went down, said Brig. Gen. T.J. O'Shaughnessy, the commander of the 57th Wing at Nellis.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the pilot was still missing.

The aircraft was not equipped with live weaponry or an active locating device, the general said.
