No Support For U.N. Resolution Against Syria

The Russian government has indicated it will not support any U.N. resolution against Syria, RIA Novosti reports.
The situation in Syria does not threaten global security and does not warrant U.N. action, said a Foreign Ministry spokesman on Thursday.
Britain and France submitted a new draft resolution on Syria on Wednesday to the Security Council. The draft condemns the violence used in cracking down on protesters.
