No Letup Seen On Crackdown In Northwest

Security forces are continuing their assault on Syrian cities and villages in the northwest to put down anti-government protests, reports the Voice of America News.
Dozens of tanks and armored vehicles were deployed Thursday near Khan Sheikhoun and Maarat al-Numaan, activists said.
The villages of Shughur al-Kadima and Janudiyeh were also reported to have come under attack.
Troops randomly fired shells at the villages and ransacked homes, according to fleeing residents. ...
