Nexter, KMW Forge Partnership Worth More Than $2 Billion

French defense firm Nexter and Germany's Krauss-Maffei Wegmann are scheduled to sign a partnership agreement, reports Defense News.

"Nexter Systems and KMW [will] form a partnership to become the European leader in land weapons," said a French Defense Ministry release on Monday. The agreement will be signed on Wednesday in Paris.

The 50-50 joint venture will be named KMW and Nexter Together (KANT) and headquartered in Amsterdam.
