The head of the New Zealand military is in China this week to enhance cooperation between their respective militaries, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
The visit was expected to strengthen New Zealand's engagement with the Chinese People's Liberation Army, said Lt. Gen. Tim Keating in a statement on Monday.
The goal is to improve understanding as well as to increase joint activities and cooperation, he said.
