The Nigerian navy's newest vessel has arrived at the naval dockyard in Lagos, reports This Day (Lagos).
The Okpabana, the former U.S. Coast Guard cutter Gallatin (WHEC-721), was handed over to the Nigerian navy in May and arrived on Friday after stops in Trinidad and Tobago, Senegal and Ghana, reported the local Daily Sun.
The ship was donated to Nigeria, which spent US$8.5 million for refurbishment and transfer costs.
