New V-Shaped Hulls To Protect Strykers

General Dynamics Land Systems, Sterling Heights, Mich., has been awarded a contract to produce modified Stryker vehicles, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The $30 million contract covers the production cut-in of the revised Stryker performance specifications. This includes a modified hull design for 281 vehicles.
The double-V hull will provide improved protection for vehicles operating in Afghanistan, military officials said.
