The Indian navy is about to stand up its third unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) squadron, reports the Indian Express.
The unit will be commissioned on Wednesday at the naval air station in the Ramanathapuram district of the southern Tamil Nadu state, said navy officials.
The new squadron, to be based at INS Parundu at the naval air station at Uchipuli, will operate four units of two Searcher and Heron air vehicles, both built by Israel, reported the Press Trust of India.
