Hyundai Heavy Industries has launched the ninth and final diesel submarine built for the South Korean navy under the KSS-II program, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
The Sin Dol Seok was put into the water during a Thursday ceremony at Hyundai's Ulsan shipyard.
The sub is named after a famous Korean admiral who led the fight against Japanese aggression in the late 1890s and early 1900s.
The 1,800-ton boat has a top speed of 20 knots and can carry an indigenous cruise...
