New Shipyards Eyed For Mistral Construction

New shipyards are expected to be built near St. Petersburg specifically for the construction of Mistral-class helicopter carriers under a French license, according to a Russian defense industry source cited by RIA Novosti.
Under a deal announced last month, two Mistrals will be jointly built by France and Russia at the STX shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, with another two to be constructed in Russia.
