New Security Strategy Drafted

Brazil's National Defense Council has approved a draft national defense strategy, reports defense-aerospace.com.
The draft proposes reorganizing the armed forces, defense industry and national military service.
The document identifies 23 legal and administrative actions to be implemented by the end of 2009, including changes to tax and acquisition laws to favor Brazil's strategic industries.
The National Defense Council is a consultative body of the presidency.
