New Scout Aircraft In The Works For MD Helicopter

MD Helicopters of Mesa, Ariz., is releasing details of its first new helicopter design in nearly two decades, reports the company.
The MD 540F is an upgrade to the MD 530F designed for scout missions. The single-engine aircraft has a six-bladed, fully articulated composite rotor blade system and a more rugged skid built for heavier weights, says the company.
