Northrop Grumman says it has delivered the first production Multi-Platform Radar Technology Insertion Program (MP-RTIP) sensor to Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., for integration with the newest Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The MP-RTIP is able to detect multiple stopped, slow and fast-moving objects on the ground in all weather conditions during the day and at night, company officials said.
