The Russian navy will receive a new deep-sea research ship later this month, reports RIA Novosti.
The Seliger is en route to the Azov port of Timryuk, where it will be based, said a spokesman for Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad.
The navy was supposed to receive the vessel earlier this month, but that delivery was delayed by bureaucrats, said the spokesman.
The ship will be used for deep-sea research, search and rescue operations and for equipment tests.
