The German military has just inaugurated a new research center designed to improve protection against improvised explosive devices (IEDs), reports the Deutsche Welle.
The center, opened this week at the Boeselager German army base in Grafschaft in Western Germany, is intended to provide better technical information on IEDs and develop new anti-IED strategies for troops in Afghanistan.
