New Reconnaissance Satellite Reaches Orbit, Develops Problems

The Israeli military has launched a new reconnaissance satellite, reports Arutz Sheva (Israel).

The Ofek-11 satellite was launched Tuesday from the Palmachim air base, Israel's primary space port, close to the cities of Rishon LeZion and Yavne.

The payload entered its planned orbit. However, just hours after launch, there were indications of problems, reported the International Business Times.
