New Polar Security Cutters To Be Based In Seattle

The U.S. Coast Guard has announced that its future Polar Security Cutters will be homeported in Seattle, Wash.
The decision to base the cutters out of Washington state is in line with the service’s historical basing of its icebreakers in the Pacific Northwest since 1976, said a Coast Guard release on Monday.
