Future Afghan air corps pilots are training in an English language lab in Kabul to learn the global standard language in the cockpit, the Armed Forces Press Service reports.
The live-in language immersion lab, which started as a stopgap measure, has proven to be a tremendous success, U.S. Air Force officials said.
The Thunder Lab program began two months ago while personnel were waiting for slots to open up in overseas pilot schools.
