New Partnership With U.K., U.S. Includes Nuclear-Powered Subs

The Australian, British and U.S. governments have established a new partnership designed to confront security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region, reports the Australian Broadcasting Corp.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and U.S. President Joe Biden announced the agreement, known as AUKUS, on Wednesday.
As part of the deal, the U.S. and U.K. have agreed to support the development of an Australian nuclear-powered submarine.
