The U.S. Army is fielding a new mine roller system in Afghanistan that is designed to provide more protection against improvised explosive devices (IEDs), reports the Army News Service.
The Self-Protection Adaptive Roller Kit System II (SPARKS II) is part of an integrated family of equipment that can be adapted to changing bomb threats, Army officials said.
