New Military Satellite Blasted Into Orbit

Russia's Space Forces launched a military satellite into orbit on Thursday, RIA Novosti reports.
The Raduga-series satellite was carried into space by a Proton-M rocket launched from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan, a Space Forces spokesman said.
The satellite "is a new project that will help significantly increase the capabilities of the space communication system," said an official.
