The U.S. Marine Corps is about to begin fielding new logistics vehicles in Afghanistan, reports the Marine Corps Times.
Wrecker and tractor variants of the Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) will arrive in theater this summer, said program officials.
The wrecker can lift and tow about 48 tons, enabling it to pull the Corps' heavy mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicles.
