New Leaders Named For Western, Eastern Military Districts

President Vladimir Putin has appointed new chiefs of staff for Russia's Eastern and Western military districts, reports Interfax-AVN.
Lt. Gen. Anatoly Sidorov is replacing Nikolai Maximov as chief of staff and first deputy commander of the Western district. Maximov has been dismissed from service.
Lt. Gen. Sergei Surovikin was named to replace Sidorov as chief of staff and first deputy of the Eastern district.
