The governments of Chile and Peru have agreed to resume bilateral relations following a dispute over their maritime border, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
Chile cut ties with Peru last year after Lima demanded a review of the border at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The new Chilean government that came to power in March under President Sebastian Pinera has worked to improve relations with Peru.
