New Frigate About To Begin Operational Service With Libyan Mission

The French navy says the Chevalier Paul, an air defense frigate, is ready for service following sea trials, reports defense-aerospace.com.
The frigate is scheduled to take part in Operation Harmattan, the name of France's component of the U.N. mission in Libya, according to a French navy release.
The Chevalier Paul, designed for fleet air defense missions, is armed with vertically launched Aster missile systems.
