Pakistan is about to receive the first three of 18 F-16 Fighting Falcons ordered from the United States, the American Forces Press Service reports.
The $1.4 billion contract covers a delivery of the Block 52 variant of the aircraft, said a U.S. Air Force spokesman.
June 26 is the scheduled arrival date of the first three.
This variant will give Pakistan's air force new capabilities, such as day-night, all-weather and precision-attack, said U.S. officials.
