New Drones Will Be Able To Scout, Strike, Says General

A top Iranian general has been touting the capabilities of new domestic unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that soon will be unveiled, Agence France-Presse reports.

The drones can be used for surveillance and attack operations, said ground forces commander Brig. Gen. Ahmad Reza Pourdastan.

Two production lines for the aircraft were reportedly opened in February. Production is continuing at a "suitable rate," said Pourdastan.
