The Pentagon has opened a new office that is aimed in part at at reducing the amount of energy used in war zones, the Armed Forces Press Service reports.
Sharon Burke, who was sworn in earlier this month as the director of operational energy plans and programs, told an interviewer that her job involves finding energy alternatives and efficiencies that will allow the military to meet its needs.
