The South Korean navy has completed operational sea trials of its newest Aegis-equipped destroyer, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
The Yi I, which was commissioned in August, began operational service Wednesday after nine months of testing, according to navy officials.
She is the second ship in the Se Jong Daewan class to enter service.
