The U.S. Navy on Saturday christened its newest Arleigh Burke-class destroyer at Bath Iron Works in Maine, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The Wayne E. Meyer (DDG-108) is named after the retired Navy rear admiral whose work led the development of the Aegis combat system.
The warship is the 58th of the Arleigh Burke class.
